Refunds & Returns Policy


Overview

Hafen Beef specializes in shipping perishable meat products, including beef, lamb, and pork. Because our products are food items that require temperature-controlled handling, our return and refund policies are structured to comply with food safety standards and protect both our customers and our business.

Please review this policy carefully before placing your order.


Perishable Goods Policy

All meat products sold by Hafen Beef are considered perishable goods. Due to the perishable nature of our products:

  • We do not accept physical returns of meat products.

  • All sales are considered final once shipped.

  • Returns are not permitted for change of mind or buyer’s remorse.

However, we stand behind the quality of our products and will address verified issues promptly.


Damaged, Incorrect, or Compromised Orders

If your order arrives:

  • Damaged during transit

  • Incorrect (wrong product shipped)

  • Missing items

  • Warm beyond safe refrigeration temperature

You must notify us within 24 hours of confirmed delivery.

Failure to contact us within this timeframe may result in the denial of your claim due to food safety regulations.


How to Submit a Claim

To request review, please email:

Include:

  1. Your full name

  2. Order number

  3. Clear photographs of:

    • Outer shipping box

    • Insulated packaging

    • Product condition

  4. A detailed explanation of the issue

Claims are reviewed within 2–3 business days.


Temperature Guidelines

It is normal for frozen meat to arrive:

  • Fully frozen

  • Partially frozen

  • Very cold to the touch

As long as the product remains cold and within safe food-handling temperatures, it is considered acceptable and safe for freezer storage.

Meat that is cool to the touch but not solidly frozen does not automatically qualify for a refund.


Approved Refunds & Resolutions

If a claim is approved, Hafen Beef may offer one of the following remedies at our discretion:

  • Replacement shipment

  • Store credit

  • Partial refund

  • Full refund (in rare and verified cases)

Refunds, when issued, are processed back to the original payment method within 5–10 business days.


Shipping Delays

Hafen Beef is not responsible for:

  • Carrier delays are outside our control

  • Weather-related disruptions

  • Incorrect addresses were provided at checkout

  • Packages left unattended after confirmed delivery

Customers are responsible for ensuring accurate shipping information and timely retrieval of delivered packages.


Order Cancellations

Orders may be canceled only if they have not yet entered processing or shipment.

Once an order has been processed or shipped, cancellation is no longer possible.

Non-Returnable Items

The following are non-returnable:

  • All perishable meat products

  • Opened packages

  • Custom or special-cut orders

  • Discounted or promotional items


Chargebacks & Disputes

Customers agree to contact Hafen Beef directly to resolve any issue before initiating a payment dispute or chargeback.

Fraudulent or abusive chargebacks may result in order restrictions or account termination.
